DamFest

Since its inception in 2006, The Dam Festival (International Festival of Young Musicians) has been a cornerstone of Kosova’s cultural landscape, particularly in the capital city of Prishtina. This annual music festival showcases a blend of national and international talent, attracting young musicians from around the globe to present contemporary music. Renowned artists such as Alexandre Dubach, Peter Sheppard Skærved, and Luka Šulić have graced its stages, enriching Kosova’s cultural scene with their performances. Founded by Dardan Selimaj, a former art student who has since become a prominent figure in Kosova’s artistic community, the DAM Festival bridges traditional and contemporary musical expressions. Through workshops and performances, the festival serves as a platform for cultural exchange and the exploration of new musical forms, solidifying its status as a pivotal event in Kosova’s classical music scene.
