The Rolling Film Festivals, occurring biennially since 2009, have become a significant cultural event in Kosovo, fostering cross-cultural understanding and collaboration between the Roma community and other ethnic groups in the region. Dedicated to showcasing Romani artistic expression, these festivals create a vibrant and transformative atmosphere aimed at challenging stereotypes and promoting positive inter-ethnic relations. Aligned with Kosovo’s Action Plan for Roma integration, the project aims to establish Memoranda of Understanding with government agencies and gain support from educational institutions and community venues. Emphasizing education, culture, and non-discrimination, in line with European agendas and the Decade of Roma Inclusion, the festivals feature a diverse selection of films from around the world, curated to celebrate Roma diversity and shared humanity. The culmination is a five-day film festival in Prishtina, providing a platform for dialogue and cultural exchange.
